These are the rules for using HealSmarter and for buying what we sell here. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

Who we are

HealSmarter is published by Data G. When these terms say "we" or "us," that is who they mean. When they say "you," they mean anyone reading this site, on an account or not.

Education, not care

Everything here is general education. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a prescription, and using the site does not create a clinical relationship with anyone. The medical disclaimer covers this in full and is part of these terms. Read it before you act on anything you find here.

Your account

You need an account to read a guide you have bought. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using it. What happens on your account is your responsibility, so do not share the login.

You must be 16 or older to hold an account. If you are creating one on behalf of someone in your care, use your own email address and your own name.

What you are buying

A guide purchase buys you personal access to read that guide on this site, for as long as we publish it. It is a license to read, not a transfer of ownership. Prices are listed at checkout in US dollars, and the price you see is the price you pay.

What you can do with it

Read it, print a copy for yourself, take notes from it, and bring what you learn to your own care team. Quote a short passage with credit if it helps you explain something to someone.

What you cannot do with it

Do not share your access, post the contents anywhere, resell it, or hand copies to a group. Do not feed it to an AI tool for training or republishing. Printed pages carry a line identifying the account they came from, which is how we find copies that travel.

If a guide is being shared beyond the person who bought it, we may close the account without a refund. We would much rather point that person at a copy of their own, so if a friend or a support group is asking, write to us and we will work something out.

Who owns what

The writing, the guides, the podcast episodes, the artwork, and the HealSmarter name and logo belong to us. Your own notes and anything you write to us stay yours. If you send us a testimonial or a story, you are giving us permission to use it, and you can withdraw that permission at any time by writing to us.

Comments and messages

You are welcome to write to us and to comment where comments are open. Please keep it civil, keep other people's medical details out of it, and do not post anything that is not yours to post. We remove content that ignores this, and we may block accounts that keep at it.

Anything you post publicly is public. Do not put your own health details in a comment thread.

Availability

We try to keep the site up and the guides current, and we will not always succeed. We may update a guide, change what we publish, or take the site down for maintenance. If we retire a guide you bought, we will tell you first and give you time to print your copy.

Limits

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise a particular outcome from anything you read here, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what follows from a decision you make. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us. This does not limit anything that cannot legally be limited.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, and disputes belong in the courts of Georgia. If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still stands.

Changes and questions

We will update the date at the top of this page when these terms change, and for anything significant we will say so by email. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
